Plantma Forestry’s Subsoiler is a soil preparation tool purpose-built to penetrate hard, compacted soil, creating favourable conditions for tree seedlings to develop strong root systems where conventional soil preparation may fall short.
The two-bladed Subsoiler can be used as part of a PlantMax system, but it is also available as a standalone product for companies looking to improve their soil preparation without investing in a complete mechanized planting system.

The Subsoiler works by penetrating the soil with two heavy-duty blades, creating deep, narrow channels through compacted or dense ground. Loosening the soil at depth significantly improves root penetration, water infiltration, and access to available nutrients.
The working depth can be easily adjusted to suit different soil and site conditions. The working depth can be set between 300–600 mm.
With two blades and a working width of 2,600–3,500 mm, the Subsoiler is engineered for efficient soil preparation over large areas. Its robust construction ensures reliable operation in demanding conditions.
The Subsoiler can also distribute fertilizer intermittently directly at the planting spot, thereby saving up to 70 percent of fertilizer costs.
Whether you are looking for a standalone solution for deep soil preparation or want to explore how the Subsoiler can complement a PlantMax system, we would be happy to discuss your requirements.
