Plantma Forestry AB develops and manufactures mechanized forest planting machines that help establish new forests efficiently and at scale. By automating the planting process, our technology enables landowners and forestry companies to reforest larger areas in less time while reducing labor requirements. The establishment of new forests contributes to the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, strengthening the role of the forest as a vital carbon sink.
This policy sets out our environmental commitments and provides the framework within which we set and review our environmental objectives. Our current objectives are documented separately and tracked as part of our management process. As a small but rapidly growing company, we apply these commitments in a way that is proportionate to the nature and scale of our activities, and we will deepen them as the company develops.
This policy applies to Plantma Forestry's own operations and to any manufacturing or other processes outsourced to suppliers and dealers
Compliance. We comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and other obligations relevant to our activities, and we monitor changes in this legal framework.
Prevention of pollution and responsible resource use. We work to prevent pollution, manage hazardous substances responsibly in line with applicable regulations such as REACH, and make considered choices about our use of energy, materials, and other resources.
Climate. We are committed to understanding and, over time, reducing our climate impact. As a first step we will map our greenhouse gas emissions from our own operations (Scope 1) and purchased energy (Scope 2). We will then gradually expand the assessment to include relevant emissions across our value chain (Scope 3), (enabling a more complete understanding of our overall climate impact).
Resource use and circular economy. We aim to reduce waste, increase reuse and recycling, and consider the full life cycle of our products where reasonably possible.
Biodiversity and ecosystems. We recognize the importance of biodiversity and healthy forest ecosystems, support efforts against illegal deforestation, and expect our suppliers to share this commitment. We shall help our customers use our machines in a way that protects wildlife and the ecosystems, and we strive to build planting equipment compatible with a variety of species.
Continual improvement. We are committed to the continual improvement of our environmental management and performance over time.
The policy is communicated internally to all employees, made available to suppliers, dealers, and other interested parties, and reviewed regularly to ensure it remains appropriate to Plantma Forestry's activities and growth.
