Plantma Forestry AB is strengthening its presence in South America through the establishment of a new company in Curitiba. The new company, Plantma Forestry do Brasil, is a wholly owned subsidiary and an important step in the company’s continued expansion.

Plantma Forestry’s multifunctional planting machine, PlantMax, has in a short time established mechanized planting as an effective solution in large-scale forestry worldwide. In Brazil – one of the world’s largest markets for industrial forestry – demand has been extremely high from the very beginning. Plantma Forestry now sees a need to further strengthen its support for existing customers in the country. By taking over responsibility for sales and service, the company will be able to offer improved availability, faster service, and more efficient spare parts handling to its Brazilian customers.

The new company is led by Jober Fonseca, who has been one of the driving forces behind the establishment of PlantMax in Brazil. He is supported by an experienced team with strong knowledge of Plantma Forestry’s products.

The establishment aims to:
• strengthen long-term customer relationships and ensure access to both expertise and spare parts
• increase focus on the specific needs of the South American market
• develop the distribution network to ensure shorter lead times, more reliable deliveries, and reduced downtime

“PlantMax is highly appreciated in Brazil and we expect continued strong growth. However, as we sell more machines, the demands on after-sales support increase. By establishing a local operation, we ensure that our customers receive the level of service they expect,” said Magnus Sandström, CEO of Plantma Forestry.

“The establishment of Plantma Forestry do Brasil is a strategically important step in our efforts to further develop mechanized planting in Brazil and strengthen our position in South America,” said Magnus Sandström.

“This step ensures greater control over service standards, quality consistency and structured operational expansion”, said Jober Fonseca, Managing Director of Plantma Forestry do Brasil.

“The initiative aims to enhance competitiveness, reduce lead times and strengthen local suppliers, consolidating the company’s industrial presence in Brazil”, said Jober Fonseca.
